Located in Streatham, Gibson’s Lodge Nursing Home is a family run home situated in a quiet, leafy suburban street close to the park but still conveniently located for all transport links, shops and other local facilities. The aim is to provide a homely environment that offers residents the opportunity to enhance their quality of life by providing a safe, manageable and comfortable environment, plus support and stimulation to help them to maximise their potential physical, intellectual, emotional and social capacity.

We are able to provide a range of facilities and unique spaces for residents to retreat to at Gibson’s Lodge. In addition to the various communal rooms, where we have daily activities for the residents, we also have a cinema room with projector screen and comfy seats as well as a bar and games room for the residents to enjoy.

Nursing care is provided 24 hours a day and staff keep up to date with current practice and developments in the field. Care is evidence based on person centric methods and the nursing staff uphold quality practice and standards.

Fiona Mafeje

Home Manager

Fiona joined Gibsons Lodge in 2014 and comes from a wealth of experience both clinically and in managing Care Homes. She has a passion for continuously improving services provided through staff training and development and prides herself on mentoring and supporting her staff.

Martha Kargbo

Deputy Home Manager

Martha was previously a Staff Nurse here at Gibsons Lodge since 2011 and was promoted to Deputy Manager in 2014. She is an active member of the ‘Dementia Friendly’ community and continually imparts her knowledge to staff members on how to deal with Dementia related issues.

Christine Gyamfi

Chef

Christine learned the importance of using the freshest ingredients from early in life and continues to use only earth’s finest harvests. We all know that food is one of life’s great pleasures, so Christine provides a varied choice of menu every day to suit individual preferences and dietary requirements.

Maribel Caniedo

Senior Care Staff

Maribel is a senior member of the Gibsons Lodge care team who support the management team by delivering a high standard of care at all times. Our Senior Care Assistants have all achieved NVQ Level 3 in care and most of our Care Staff have either achieved or are working towards NVQ Level 2 in care.

Robert Florczyk

Maintenance

Robert joined Gibsons Lodge in September 2008. He ensures that the home is very well maintained and pleasant to live in through regular discussions with the Management Team, Friends and Relatives. He is very friendly and always has time to talk to residents no matter whether he’s up a ladder or fixing the floor!

Evadne Frenz

Staff Nurse

An RGN with more than 40 years’ experience working within a variety of healthcare settings, Evadne has a wealth of experience. Her expertise is caring for people who have life limiting diseases such as Cancer, Heart Disease and Neurological disorders and also offering support to their families and carers.
